You may have heard by now that, in collaboration with the ELCA churchwide worship team and many contributors across the church, Augsburg Fortress is releasing a supplement to Evangelical Lutheran Worship this coming fall and that it will be called All Creation Sings. This worship supplement will contain new liturgies as well as many hymns and songs. These new liturgies include two liturgies of Holy Communion with new musical settings; one of these is bilingual, including English and Spanish side-by-side, and the other is written with options for evening use. There will also be a Service of Word and Prayer designed especially for contemplative worship. Additionally, All Creation Sings will contain over 50 new prayers and liturgical forms for a wide variety of occasions and circumstances, along with 200 hymns and songs, many of them newly created since the release of Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

The ELCA Worship Blog has been highlighting All Creation Sings and the many ways it speaks to our needs in this time. In the blog post about assembly song, the Worship Blog notes that All Creation Sings includes several new hymns and songs for the church year included under the topic headings of creation/stewardship, lament, healing/wholeness, and justice/peace, among others. The Worship Blog additionally points out that some hymns and songs in All Creation Sings have previously appeared in other collections such as This Far by Faith, Libro de Liturgia y Cántico, Singing in Community, and Singing Our Prayer. Other Worship Blog posts go into detail about the new liturgies and the section on “Prayers, Thanksgivings, and Laments.”

Augsburg Fortress has made a preview of All Creation Sings available online. This preview includes excerpts of all three new liturgies, descriptions of the categories of new prayers, and 22 hymns in the supplement. There is also a list of all the hymns and songs available as a PDF. The introductory price of the Pew Edition of All Creation Sings is $12.50. After June 15, 2021, the price will increase to $14.50. While the supplement has not been released yet, it is available for preorder here. The Leaders Edition and Accompaniment Edition are available for preorder as well.
